Essential Qualifications and Experience for Ministry of Commerce and Industry  Recruitment 2023:

For Industrial Adviser (Engineering):

• Candidates should have a degree in mechanical, electrical, Electronics/ or industrial engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Candidates should have 15 years’ practical experience in the field of mechanical, electrical, Electronics/ or industrial engineering in any industrial undertaking dealing with planning, development, Production/ or research techniques of the Industry or in any central or Autonomous or statutory organisation.

Desirable:

• Candidates should have 5 years’ experience in industrial undertakings exploring the latest trends and techniques in engineering and manufacturing technology with special reference to Indian conditions in the techno-economic assessment of industrial projects.

For Additional Industrial Adviser (Engineering):

• Candidates should have a degree in mechanical, electrical, Industrial or industrial engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Candidates should have 12 years’ practical experience in the field of mechanical, electrical, Electronics/ or industrial engineering in any industrial undertaking dealing with planning, development, Production/ or research in the Industry or in any public sector undertaking.

Desirable:

• Candidates must have 4 years’ experience in industrial undertakings exploring the latest trends and techniques in engineering and manufacturing technology with special reference to Indian conditions and the techno-economic assessment of industrial projects.

For Industrial Adviser (Chemical):

• Candidates should have a master’s degree in chemistry from a recognized university or institute.
• Candidates must have 11 years’ practical experience of the planning, development, production, and research techniques of the chemical industry in any government department, public sector Undertakings/ or recognised research institution.Or
• Candidates should have a degree in chemical engineering from a recognized university or institute.
• Candidates must have 12 years’ practical experience in the planning, development, production, and research techniques of the chemical industry in any government department, public sector Undertakings/ or recognized research institution.

Desirable:

• Candidates must have 5 years’ experience in the chemical industry, exploring the latest trends and techniques in chemical and manufacturing technology with special reference to Indian conditions and the techno-economic assessment of industrial projects.
• Candidates should have a diploma in a European language other than English, viz., German, French, Russian, Italian or Spanish.
• The Departmental Senior Development Officer (Chemicals) [in level 12 in the pay matrix] with six years of regular service in the grade will also be considered along with the outsiders, and in case he/she is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.

For Industrial Adviser (Engineering):

• Candidate who are selected for this post will be paid pay level 13 A (Rs. 131100–Rs. 216600)

For Additional Industrial Adviser (Engineering):

• Candidate who are selected for this post will be paid pay level 13 (Rs. 118500–Rs. 214100)

For Industrial Adviser (Chemical):

• Candidates who are selected for this post will be paid at level 13 A (Rs. 131100–Rs. 216600).

Tenure for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry  Recruitment 2023:

Referring to the official notification of Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023, the nature of the appointment is purely temporary and contractual. The duration of this appointment shall not exceed 5 years.
