• For Assistant- The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary in Pay Matrix Level -6 (Rs.35,400 to Rs.112400).
• For Upper Division Clerk (UDC)- The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary in Pay Matrix Level – 4 (Rs 25-500- Rs.81100) (Pre-revised Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-Rs.20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2400).
• For Stenographer Grade-I- The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary in Pay Matrix Level – 6 (Rs 35400- Rs.112400).

Tenure for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2024:

According to the official notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2024, the period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding to this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2024:

For Assistant-

Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territories,-

• The candidate should hold analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
• The candidate should have six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in level-5 (Rs. 29200-92300) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

Possessing the following educational qualifications as prescribed for direct recruits under column (7):

• The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University; and
• The candidate should have Passed computer proficiency test as prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission.

For Upper Division Clerk-

Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territories:-

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
• Possessing following educational qualifications and experience:-

For Stenographer Grade-I-

Officers of the Stenographer’s cadre under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories,-

• holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
• The candidate should have six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in level-5 (Rs. 29200- 92300) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
• The candidate should have ten years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in level-4 (Rs. 25500-81100) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

Possessing the following educational qualification prescribed for direct recruits under column (7):

• The candidate should have Graduate Degree from a recognised University; and
• The candidate should possess computer proficiency.
