MoF amends previous notification related to exemption of certain excisable goods from levy of Excise Duty

The Ministry of Finance has amended previous notification related to exemption of certain excisable goods from levy of Excise Duty.

MoF published a notification to amend notification No. 04/2022-Central Excise, dated June 30, 2022, which states that certain excisable goods included in the Fourth Schedule of the Excise Act are exempt from the Special Additional Excise Duty that may be imposed on them under a section of the Finance Act, 2002.

The following amendment has been made:

“In the Table, against S. No. 2, for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 6 per litre” has been substituted.”

This notification shall come into force from August 19, 2022.
