National Faceless Assessment Centre issues SOP on Income Tax Faceless Assessment Process

The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, National Faceless Assessment Centre, with the prior approval of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), has issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Assessment Unit (AU), Verification Unit, Technical Unit, and Review Unit under the Faceless Assessment provisions of Section 144B of the Income-tax Act. This is issued under Section 144B(G)(xi) of the Income-tax Act.
