NBSE, NCERT Announced STSE in Mathematics, Science for Class 9 Students; Apply by August 27, 2024

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has released the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The STSE is an examination that is conducted in two phases every year by the authority. Students from class 9th are eligible to participate in the State Talent Search Examination (STSE).

To participate in the State Talent Search Examination, candidates will need to submit their 50% enrollment in their class 9th board at the official website, nbsenl.edu.in by August 27, 2024.

NBSE has posted officially on Twitter saying, “NBSE in collaboration with PARAKH, NCERT announces State Talent Search Examination in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) to promote foundation in Science & Mathematics for the students of Class IX at two levels viz. State & Districts”.

District-Level Examination

• In accordance with the official notification released, to search and develop young individuals in the area of STEM, the exam will be administered in the collaboration of Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
• The prior stage is the district level examination which is anticipated to be held on September 10, 2024. The candidates shortlisted in the district-level examination will be said eligible for the state-level examination.

State-Level Examination

• The State-level examination is scheduled to be held in the month of October 2024. This is the second stage where candidates are asked to work on science or technology projects for the welfare of the community. In this, the districts having schools upto 20 will shortlist their best 3 students, those with upto 50 schools will select their best 5 students and districts with more than 50 schools will select their 7 best students based on the written test, as per the participation policy.
• Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded to the candidates who won the State-Level Examination in order to recognise their performance. Beyond this, all the candidates who participated will also be given a certificate of participation for atleast reaching here.
