PM Modi: Center Will Develop Such An Education System So That Youngsters Need Not Go Abroad
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 78th Independence Day, said he will build such an education system so that youngsters in India are not required to go Abroad for their studies. He further said, he would make the Indian education system such powerful that foreign students would request to study in India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words, "We want to build such an education system in India that youngsters do not need to go abroad to study. In fact, we would want foreign students to come here and study."
He explained that every year numerous number of medical students moves abroad to pursue better education. In this context, Modi said, he will set up an additional 75,000 medical seats in India within the next five years. He explained it is a big issue that students in India are spending lakhs and crores to study medicine abroad, hence centre will work on developing more medical seats in India to reduce Indian students moving abroad for studies.
Prime Minister's words, "Even today, children, mostly belonging to the middle class, are going abroad for medical education. They spend lakhs and crores on medical education abroad. Around 25,000 youths every year go abroad for medical education and they go to such countries, I get surprised when I hear about them. So we have decided, 75,000 new seats will be created in the medical line in the next five years,"
