The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) has opened 14 vacancies in NCCS Recruitment 2023 for the post of Research Associate – I, Project Associate – II, Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow and Project Associate – I in multiple projects.

The candidates who are selected for NCCS Recruitment 2023 will be paid a monthly salary up to Rs.47000 with HRA.

Qualification and Experience for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

The required qualifications and experience for NCCS Recruitment 2023 are given below-

For Research Associate – I-

• Candidate should have Ph. D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or have 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Experience-

• Candidate should have experience in molecular biology (PCR, Cloning, protein expression, western blotting, Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridisation, Immuno-precipitation, cell fractionation), bioinformatics and/or RNA biology (In-vitro transcription/translation, RNA FISH, RNA pull-down).

For Project Associate – II-

• Candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience-

• Candidate should have 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.

Desirable Experience-

• Due to the timely execution of the project in the given period, the preference will be given to the candidates who have studied immunology have experience in cell culture, able to handle small laboratory animals such as mice, experience in performing immunological experiments such as ELISA, flow cytometry and multicolor microscopy.

For Junior Research Fellow-

• Candidate should have Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following-

1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE
2. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Experience-

• Candidates with prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology will be given preference.

Tenure for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of NCCS Recruitment 2023, the engagement is made on a temporary basis and the selected candidates will be engaged up to 2028.

Selection Process for NCCS Recruitment 2023:

The selection for NCCS Recruitment 2023 will be based on the candidate’s performance in the walk-in interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
