NCL Recruitment 2022: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) is a Miniratna Company of the Government of India and a division of Coal India Limited, the world’s largest coal producer (CIL). NCL contributes 10% to the nation’s total electricity production and 15% of the nation’s total coal production.

Eligibility Criteria for NCL Recruitment 2022

i. The applicants who have superannuated prior to 31.01.2020 will not be eligible to apply for the engagement.

ii. The other eligibility conditions will be as per the guidelines of CIL issued no. CIL/C-5B/MP & IR/Non-Ex./Guidelines/268 dated: 12/10/2020.

Offer of Engagement Letter, Remuneration and Other Conditions for NCL Recruitment 2022

1. If the Company’s Medical Examination (IME), conducted in accordance with the established Rules linked to the Medical Examination of CIL, determines that the applicant is medically fit, a provisional offer of engagement will be made.

2. The candidates who receive a preliminary offer of employment must report within seven days of the date they received the letter, along with all original, valid certificates of education and technical qualification and, if appropriate, caste.

3. Subject to the upper age limit of 65 years as specified in the CIL rules, the initial engagement of the chosen candidate would be for a term of one year from the date of joining. It is subject to his performance during the initial period of the engagement, medical fitness, mutual consent, norms, and other terms and conditions outlined in the CIL guidelines stated above, as well as subject to the upper age restriction of 65 years. It is extendable for another term of one year. The engagement duration will be restricted to 65 years of age in any scenario.

4. Unless and until it is extended for a second term as specified in this notification, a candidate’s engagement on the chosen post will automatically stop at the conclusion of the initial period of engagement. In the case of a second term extension, the engagement will automatically expire at the conclusion of the second term that was added.

5. The candidate’s offer of employment will be revoked if it is discovered that they in any way do not meet the eligibility requirements while on the job.

6. In accordance with CIL standards published in CIL/C-5B/MP & IR/Non-Ex./Guidelines/268 dated 12/10/2020, compensation, deductions, medical facilities, working days, hours of work, leave, holidays, and rest days, among other things, must be governed.

Selection Criteria for NCL Recruitment 2022

Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements outlined in this notification will be evaluated based on the predetermined criteria, such as physical attendance and annual confidential reports (ACR) in the three years prior to superannuation, excluding the year of superannuation, unless they are employees who have already reached their superannuation on March 31.

I. Physical Attendance – 15 Marks for 3 years (5 Marks per year).

II. Annual Confidential Report (ACR) – 15 Marks for 3 years (5 Marks per year).

III. Other selection/eligibility criteria shall be as provided in the guidelines of CIL for availing the services of superannuated non-executive employees.

IV. In cases where more than one applicant secures equal marks for the post, the tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:

(i) Marks scored in the ACR (Higher grade will be given preference).

(ii) Date of Birth (Younger will be given preference).

(iii) Date of Appointment (Junior would be given preference).

V. Provisional merit panels of shortlisted applicants for different Posts, who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria, will be derived in the order of marks scored, after resolving the tie as prescribed and by giving reservations as applicable.
