Grace Marks for NEET (UG) 2024:

Following a few NEET 2024 candidates’ writ suits about time lost during the exam in the high courts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chhattisgarh, the NTA explained the need for compensatory marks and said a grievance redressal committee was established to investigate students’ issues. “Factual reports” and CCTV footage from the exam centres in question were the foundation for the panel’s consideration of the complaints.

“The candidates’ examination time loss was determined, and their marks were awarded based on their efficiency in answering and the amount of time they lost, in accordance with the procedure/formula established by the Honorable Apex Court in its ruling dated June 13, 2018, in W.P. 551 of 2018,” the NTA said.

The exam body reported that as a result, 1,563 NEET candidates received grace marks, and their revised scores ranged from -20 to 720. Two competitors received 718 and 719 scores in the exam, respectively, as a result of compensating marks.

NTA stated, “On the analysis of the CCTV footage, it was ascertained that the integrity of the examination was not compromised at these Centers,” refuting any anomalies in NEET UG 2024.

Physics Question for NEET Toppers 2024:

According to a statement from NTA, a physics question on the NEET exam 2024 put 44 people in first place. Subject matter experts examined 13,373 challenges to the provisional answer key for that question and discovered that two options were incorrect in both the old and new editions of the NCERT physics book. As a result, the answer key was corrected, and 44 students received full marks.

The announcement stated, “Of the 67 candidates who received 720/720 marks, 44 are due to a revision in one Physics Answer Key and 06 are due to compensatory marks for time lost.”

Result Date for NEET (UG) 2024:

Regarding the NEET UG result date in 2024, the testing organization stated that NTA exam results are released as soon as the required verifications are finished following the answer key challenge period. A number of academicians and students had expressed concerns about the NEET results 2024, claiming there was a scam and an error in the results, and how the results were released 10 days ahead of the scheduled date of announcement, 14th June 2024.

“Within a 30-day period, the NTA successfully announced the results for around 23 lakh participants. In a span of 11 days, the JEE (Main) 2024 Session-1 results were released, and in a further 15 days, the combined Session-2 results were. “NTA stated that the NEET (UG) 2024 result has been handled in accordance with the prescribed protocol. The discussion then shifted to the exam’s administration and result announcement process.

Concerning situations of Unfair Means:

The actions implemented in UFM cases are consistent with current guidelines, including the cancellation of candidature and debarment from future NTA tests.

The NTA has lodged cases against impersonators, and the State Police has also registered certain cases. NTA assists agencies in probing crimes related to NEET (UG) 2024.

While the conclusion of the aforementioned investigations is expected, the NTA has explicitly refuted any allegations of paper leaks.
