In comparison to the previous year, the NEET UG 2024 cut-off has increased for all categories. Exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ is the official website where you can find the NEET result for 2024. On May 5, 2024 NEET UG 2024 exam was held, which was held for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2024–25 academic year, 13.16 lakh students passed.

In AIIMS New Delhi in 2023, there were only 48 places available for open-category candidates, despite the fact that 67 students received ranks 1–4. The institute held 132 seats in total, with three designated for candidates from the open PWD category, 11 for General-EWS, 32 for OBC, 18 for SC, 9 for ST, and one for each of SC-PwD and Gen-EWS PwD. OBC-PwD was allocated two seats.

The NEET UG 2024 cut-off has increased to 163-129 from 136-107 the previous year for applicants belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward classes. Comparably, the cutoff for SC, ST, and OBC-PH candidates in NEET UG 2024 has risen from 120–107 to 145–129 this year.

The NEET cut-off is 40th for applicants who identify as OBC, SC, or ST, and 50th for MBBS and BDS candidates in the general category. The highest score on the all-India common merit list is used by the NTA to calculate the NEET UG percentile.

This year, 24,06,079 students applied for the medical entrance exam, and 23,33,297 took it. The total number of medical school applicants who passed the admission exam is 13,16,268. According to data given by the NTA, 5,47,036 qualifying students are male, 7,69,222 are female, and 10 are transgender. This year, registrations for NEET UG 2024 increased by 16.85%. Last year, up to 20.59 lakh people applied.

Regarding state-wise results, Uttar Pradesh recorded 1,65,047 students as the most qualified applicants, ahead of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, with 1,42,665, 1,21,240, and 89,426 students, respectively.

The candidates have been given the All India Rank by the NTA, and for the MBBS and BDS seats that fall within their purview, the admitting authorities will compile a merit list using the All India Rank. Candidates shall specify their category in accordance with the state category list when they apply to their state. In light of this, the state counselling authorities will compile a merit list.
