NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Live Updates: Court to Hear Paper Leak Petitions Next Week
NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court will next week hear the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) paper leak petitions and will take a major decision on the cancellation of the NEET UG exam due to the irregularities experienced. A hearing on NEET UG 2024 also took place at the apex court on July 8, 2024, and noticed a paper leak in one place and the integrity of NEET UG 2024 was said to be compromised.
The bench headed by the Chief Justice, D Y Chandrachud, will hear the series of NEET UG paper leak petitions Next Week. The hearing will include pleas alleging irregularities and malpractices held during the NEET UG exam on May 5, 2024, and the conducting of a fresh NEET UG examination. The court has also asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) and CBI about the timing when the NEET UG paper was leaked and the time duration between the paper leak and timing and actual test timing.
The live Law Reported CJI and said, “We will give you a day’s time. We want all petitioners’ lawyers, asking for a re-test, to give us one set of submissions on Wednesday. We want you all to sit down and give us one consolidated set of submissions not exceeding 10 pages,”
It is being said that the bench will organise a separate hearing plea for the 50+ successful Gujarat-based NEET candidates, in which a request will be made on issuing direction to restrain the Centre from cancelling the medical entrance exam.
It is noticed that the NEET UG 2024 paper leak was done on social media platforms like Telegram Telegram, WhatsApp, and other electronic media, and then it spread to others like wildfire.
The NEET UG 2024 examination was administered by the NTA on May 5, 2024, for admissions into the MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses in various government and private institutions in India. Approximately 23.33 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET UG examination held on May 5 across 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 cities overseas.
