NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun the registration and preference-filling process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling first round. Candidates can register, fill in and lock their preference for the MCC NEET UG counselling 2025 on the official website mcc.nic.in by July 28, 2025.
MCC will conduct four rounds for NEET UG Counselling 2025. As per the official NEET UG counselling schedule 2025, the choice-filling and locking facilities for NEET UG 2025 counselling will be live till 11:59 pm on July 28. Preferences must be reviewed carefully and locked at the specified window.
The NEET UG seat allotment process for round 1 counselling will take place between July 29 and 30. Candidates must enter their college and course preferences in the portal within the mentioned dates. The provisional result of the first round is scheduled to be announced on July 31, while the final NEET UG seat allotment result for 2025 will be live afterwards, with reporting between August 1 and 6, 2025.
The MCC executes the NEET UG counselling for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other allied medical programs under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across the country.
Admission to the remaining 85 per cent of seats will be executed by the respective state authorities through state-level counselling based on NEET UG scores. Several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Punjab, Assam and Telangana, have already started the process of registration for their state-level NEET UG counselling.
NEET UG Counselling 2025: Guidelines
Aspirants participating in the NEET UG counselling process are advised to check the following guidelines issued by MCC before registering online:- Use the same mobile number/email as submitted to NTA during NEET registration, as OTPs and login credentials are sent there. No alternate communication channels or offline mode is allowed.
- Keep checking the MCC website for updates; no personal message will be sent to candidates.
- Failure to comply with deadlines, submission of incorrect/incomplete documents, or not locking the choice may result in cancellation of the seat or counselling opportunity.
- After seat allotment, candidates can resign online if they choose not to join. But make sure to generate the resignation through the portal; otherwise, it will be considered invalid.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for the NEET UG counselling 2025:- Step 1: Visit the official website at mcc.nic.in.
- Step 2: On the homepage, click on the UG Medical Counselling section.
- Step 3: Select the link for NEET UG 2025 registration.
- Step 4: Enter the requirement fee and save the confirmation page.
- Step 5: Download the NEET UG counselling form and take a printout for future reference.
