Step-by-step procedure to download the latest RPU version:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of TIN (formerly NSDL e-Gov) at https://www.protean-tinpan.com/.
  • Step 2: On the homepage, go to the Downloads Tab.
  • Step 3: Now navigate to the e-TDS/e-TCS section >>> Quarterly returns >>> Regular.
  • Step 4: Look for the "Protean Return Preparation Utility" section. Click on the link and download it to your system.
  • Step 5: Right-click on the zip file and choose “Extract All.”
  • Step 6: Open the extracted folder and double-click on the TDS_RPU_5.6 (executable .jar file) to launch the utility.
