NFRA-IndiaAI Launches New IndiaAI Financial Reporting Compliance Challenge with Rs. 1.5 Crore Prize Pool
The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA), along with IndiaAI, has begun a new competition called the IndiaAI Financial Reporting Compliance Challenge. The aim of this move is to find out AI- powered solutions that can help NFRA to keep an eye on financial reporting more easily, more accurately, and faster, and also reduce internal workload.
Indian companies and DPIIT-recognised startups are called to this challenge to build a developed AI-based system that is capable of reading data from different types of documents (PDFs, Excel, Word, etc.), and check whether the data follows financial reporting rules and standards. The total prize money for the same has been decided at 1.5 crore.
The total prize money is Rs. 1.5 crore. During an online refinement stage, up to 10 teams will get Rs. 5 lakh each. One single individual will be considered as the final winner, who may receive a 2-year contract with NFRA worth up to Rs. 1 crore to use the solution at a national level.
The expected AI solution should give clear and explainable compliance reports, automatically identify risk indicators, including an AI-powered chatbot to help NFRA officers with insights. The main goal is to protect investors and maintain public trust in financial reporting.
The application window has been opened, and the due date to apply is February 22, 2026.
