NTA Test Practice Centers: Attempt Mock Tests, Check Complete Details, And How To Register
NTA Test Practice Centers: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts examinations for admission to higher educational institutions. Almost all the major competitive exams are now organized by the NTA for admission or fellowship in higher education institutions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the examinations online, i.e., through Computer Based Test (CBT). Many students, especially those from rural backgrounds are not familiar with online examinations. For this, the NTA has established various Test practice centers (TPC) across the country so that students can become familiar with the processes of a Computer Based Test (CBT).
The NTA has been established as an autonomous, premier, and self-sustaining testing organization to organize entrance examinations for admission to various graduate and postgraduate programs in different colleges across the nation. The Ministry of Education (MoE), formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), established the National Testing Agency to assess candidates’ suitability for admission to a particular course in a particular institution.
The Ministry of Education has given the authority to the NTA to set up a network of Test Practice Centers across the country, particularly in remote and rural areas. In this way, students in remote and rural areas can practice and feel confident in taking a Computer Based Test (CBT). This service is provided at no expense at various designated centers. The NTA also provides mock tests and practice tests for various examinations for practice at these centers. Students will get a real idea about the question pattern and type of questions asked in the actual entrance exam. The whole experience of using a computer at the Test Practice Centers will be as close as taking a CBT in real.
During a CBT, candidates are required to sit in front of a computer. Candidates have to log in using the roll number given on their admit card. Once logged in, the candidates will receive a detailed explanation regarding the CBT process on their screens. Candidates will be able to view questions on their screen once the examination starts. Candidates will also be able to modify and edit their marked answers. The NTA has established Test Practice Centres in 33 states and 622 districts. A particular Test Practice Center can operate on Saturday (from 2:30 pm-5:30 pm) and on Sunday (from 11 am to 2 pm & 2:30 pm-5:30 pm) depending on its availability.
Candidates will be able to understand all the details of a computer-based test by practicing the Mock Tests available at Test Practice centers. The step-wise procedure to register for the mock test at a particular Test Practice Center (TPC) is given below:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the NTA
Step 2: Log in using your Email Id and fill out the basic details asked
Step 3: Enter the exam for which you want to practice
Step 4: Chose the Test Practice Centers and mock test schedule
Step 5: confirm and submit the application.
