Over 400 Agniveer Recruits Join Army in Ladakh
The news agency PTI quoted a defense spokesperson saying, “A total of 402 well trained Agniveer recruits were officially introduced into the Ladakh Scouts regiment of the army at a passing out parade here on Tuesday.” The ceremony, conducted in accordance with the traditions of the Army, was managed by Major General Dinesh Kumar Singh, the Chief of Staff at Headquarters 14 Corps. Among the participants, there was a differing cluster of recognized military officials, civil dignitaries, and the parents of the Agniveer recruits, the spokesperson added.
He said six young Agniveers were awarded medals during the parade for their marvellous achievements in training. Gaurav Padak was presented to the parents whose wards have joined the regiment as Agniveers. The moment was truly a source of pride for the families, many of whom had come from distant places to witness this remarkable event.
In an address the young recruits, Major General Singh congratulated them on their impressive parade performance and encouraged them to devote their lives to serving the nation as proud Army soldiers. He also praised the parents for encouraging their children to join the Armed Forces and introducing them to a deep sense of national pride.
The reviewing officer also congratulated the Ladakh Scouts personnel for their excellent achievements in all fields and praised them for their extraordinary courage and sacrifice in safeguarding the sovereignty of the country. He encouraged the young soldiers to continue to strive hard for excellence in all fields and take a solemn pledge to safeguard the sovereignty of the country against all odds in the true spirit embodied by the Army ethos.
