Passport Office (MEA) Recruitment 2022: The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India runs the Passport Seva Programme (PSP), a Mission Mode Project of the Government of India. The PSP aims at providing all passport-related services to the citizens in a speedy, convenient and transparent manner. In this connection, the Ministry invites applications from interested candidates for the following positions at Program Management Unit (PMU), PSP Division.

1. Sr. Consultant: Software Application.

2. Sr. Consultant: Field Assessment.

1. Sr. Consultant: Software Application

Number of Position: 1

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.Engineering/M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science/ IT /Electronics or MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/ Electronics from a recognized Institution/ University.

The candidate should have the following Key Skills:

a. Knowledge of J2ee, JMS, Websphere AS.

b. Knowledge of Pl/SQL, Oracle DB, IBM DB2, XML/XSLT, and Web services.

c. Hands-on experience in designing, coding and development.

d. A clear understanding of OOPS and RDBMS.

Other Skills:

a. Experience of working in Central/State/Integrated Mission Mode Projects.

b. Large IT/ITES Projects.

c. Good analytical and problem-solving approach.

d. Strong User-interaction skills/client-facing skills.

e. Good coordination skills.

Experience Required: The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in software design/development, application security, application maintenance/ monitoring etc. He/She should have 3 to 5 years experience of managing a complete life cycle of large-scale IT/e-Governance projects in IT/Financial/Government organizations.

CTC: Based on the candidate’s qualification, existing remuneration and overall experience, the CTC offered would be 11 Lakhs p.a.

2. Sr. Consultant: Field Assessment

Number of Position: 1

Educational Qualification: Master in Business Administration (MBA)/ PGDM from a recognized Institution/University.

The candidate should have the following Key Skills:

a. Worked as a team leader

b. Managed Large IT/ITES Projects, eGovernance Applications

c. Project Monitoring

d. Customer Service Operations.

e. Service Levels Review and Monitoring.

f. Good analytical and problem-solving approach.

g. Identify and resolve project issues.

h. Prepare project status reports.

Other Skills:

a. Leadership abilities.

b. Experience managing a large project.

c. Excellent organization skills.

d. Analytical, goal-oriented work style.

Experience: In order to improve operational performance, the candidate should have at least 7 years of experience managing the deployment of technology/tools used in the project/field. He is also responsible for finding field operating solutions that would increase production. Additionally, he or she supervises the application of industry best practices that are likely to increase overall efficiency and improve the quality of service. The operations manager and other managers, as well as the staff at the field office, are relationships that the field assessment consultant forges over time. He or she develops and monitors the essential metrics required to advance field operational activities. It is imperative to have prior project management expertise, especially in field operations. Field assessment consultants need to be able to use applications and MIS to enhance business operations.

CTC: The CTC offered would be Rs. 11 Lakhs per annum, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, current compensation, and overall experience.

Selection Procedure for Passport Office (MEA) Recruitment 2022

Shortlisting and a personal interview with members of the Selection Committee will be used for selection. The date and location of the interview will be announced in due course. The Ministry will conduct an initial review of the submissions in order to create, if necessary, a shortlist of qualified applicants who will be contacted for an interview.
