Pay LIC premiums through UPI is simple; policy can be linked to Google Pay, Paytm and PhonePe
LIC Online premium payment was formerly limited to online banking and debit/credit cards, however, for the ease of the policyholders, LIC has now expanded its services to enable premium payment using UPI platforms such as Phone Pay and Google Pay.
If you hold a Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) coverage and still pay your premiums in person, this news will make your life much easier. In fact, LIC allows policyholders to pay their premiums from the comfort of their own homes. Online premium payment was formerly limited to online banking and debit/credit cards, however LIC has now expanded its services to enable premium payment using UPI platforms such as Phone Pay and Google Pay. We’ll show you how to pay premiums using UPI.
1. To begin, launch the Google Pay app on your device.
2. You must tap the bill payment option on the home page.
3. Select the Insurance option in Finance and Tax by clicking to View All.
4. Many corporations’ names can be found here. You select LIC name from here.
5. The option to link accounts will now appear. Fill in the policy number and e-mail address.
6. Now, go to Link Account and double-check your information.
7. You can pay the premium after the LIC insurance has been successfully linked with Google Pay.
8. All you have to do now is click on your associated insurance anytime you tap on Bill Pay.
9. To make a payment, you’ll need to enter your UPI PIN.
You can also link your policy to other UPI apps such as PhonePe and Paytm. You must also go to the bill payment option in these apps and input your policy number and email address. You can pay the premium by entering the UPI PIN once the insurance is linked. You may see the premium amount, LIC premium due date, and bill number once the insurance is linked.
