Ministry of Home Affairs Confirms Revocation of Manipur Proclamation
The Ministry of Home Affairs recently shared a notification (F. No. 11013/01/2025-CSR-I) on February 4, 2026, regarding revoking the proclamation issued by the President of India.
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, has announced that the earlier order issued on February 13, 2025, under clause (2) of Article 356 of the Constitution concerning the state of Manipur, is now officially revoked. This means that the special powers taken under that order will no longer be in effect from February 4, 2026.
