RBI appoints Shri Manoranjan Mishra as new Executive Director:

RBI appoints Shri Manoranjan Mishra as new Executive Director The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Shri Manoranjan Mishra as Executive Director with effect from November 01, 2023. Shri Mishra was Chief General Manager at the Department of Regulation before being promoted as ED. Shri Mishra has almost three decades of Reserve Bank expertise, having worked in the fields of bank and NBFC regulation, bank supervision, and currency management. He has been a member of various national and international Working Groups that have contributed to the development of regulatory/supervisory policies. Shri Mishra, as Executive Director, will be in charge of the following departments: 1. Enforcement, 2. Risk Monitoring, and 3. External Investments and Operations. Shri Mishra holds a postgraduate degree in economics as well as an MBA in banking and finance. In addition, he has a master's degree in finance and financial regulation from Aston Business School in the United Kingdom.
