RBI appoints Shri Neeraj Nigam as new Executive Director:

RBI appoints Shri Neeraj Nigam as new Executive Director The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Shri Neeraj Nigam as Executive Director (ED) with effect from April 03, 2023. Prior to being elevated to ED, Shri Neeraj Nigam was Regional Director of the Bank's Bhopal Regional Office. Over the course of more than three decades, Shri Nigam has worked in the Reserve Bank's Central Office and Regional Offices in Regulation and Supervision, Human Resource Management, Premises, Currency Management, Bank Accounts, and other fields. As Executive Director, Shri Nigam will look after:

• Consumer Education and Protection Department
• Financial Inclusion and Development Department
• Legal Department
• Secretary’s Department

Shri Nigam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Barkatullah University, Bhopal besides having earned the professional qualification of Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).
