Request to extend time limit of Filing GSTR3B: Gujrat Sales Tax Bar Council written to GST Council to extend due date of filing GST3B return. Below is copy of letter submitted to GST Council.

To, ChairmanGST Council, New Delhi. The Hon. Chief Commissioner of State Tax -SGST, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad, The Hon. Chief Commissioner of Central Tax-CGST, Ambawadi ,Ahmedabad. Respected Sirs, Subject : Request to extend time limit to file GST return 3B due to Non Working of GST Website. It has been observed that since last few months filling of GST Return 3B on or before 3 to 4 days of due dates has been in constant struggle mode. Dealers are not able to pay taxes due to abnormalities of GST portal. We have received number of complaints from all over Gujarat. In the current scenario even if dealer desire to pay the taxes, he can't pay due to non working of GST portal. These genuine dealers are penalized in next month by way of late fees which is absolutely inhuman. Moreover this resulted in to delay in timely payment of tax and getting revenue within stipulated time to the government. Site is not working properly since the last 3 days. We request you to kindly extend the dates and give relief to tax payers from Late fees. Hoping for your kind and positive revert. For, The Gujarat Sales Tax Bar Association, Nitin D.
