SEIS benefit facility for Payment received in INR for Services rendered in FY 2019-20 not available
The government announced on Thursday that the total entitlement under the services export incentive scheme SEIS for shipments made in 2019-20 has been set at Rs 5 crore per exporter.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has published a list of eligible services and rates for exports made during 2019-20 under the Services Exports from India Scheme (SEIS).
"A total entitlement limit under SEIS has been imposed for service exports rendered between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020, and is capped at Rs 5 crore IEC (import-export code)," the DGFT stated in a notification.
Furthermore, it has been announced that the facility to claim SEIS benefits on payments made in Indian rupees will be unavailable for services rendered in 2019-20.
The deadline for submitting SEIS for 2019-20 will be December 31, 2021, with SEIS applications for 2019-20 becoming time-barred after December 31 this year.
