Service tax return due date announced for the period of 1st April 2017 to 30th June 2017is 15th August,2017. And this return can be revised within 45 days from the date such return is filed vide Notification no. 18/2017 dated 22nd June 2017.
Service tax returns filing date extended to April 30 2017
The Centre has extended the due date for filing of service tax returns to April 30 2017 from April 25 2017 specified earlier.
This follows certain difficulties faced by taxpayers in accessing the Automation of Central Excise and Service Tax (ACES) application.
Tuesdaywas the last day for filing service tax return for the period October 2016 to March 2017. ACES application had crashed and it was not possible for assessees to file their returns, industry sources said.
