Supreme Court Advises Hybrid Hearings Amid Prevailing Weather Conditions The Supreme Court of India issued a circular on December 14, 2025, because of the current weather conditions. The Chief Justice of India has suggested that, if it is convenient, lawyers and people who are representing themselves in cases do not need to come to court physically. Instead, they can attend their hearings online using the video conferencing (hybrid) facility. The circular has been shared with:
  • The Supreme Court Bar Association
  • The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association
  • All notice boards in the Supreme Court
So that all lawyers and concerned people are properly informed about this facility. It may be noted that the air in Delhi and nearby areas became extremely polluted over the weekend. A thick layer of smog covered the city, making it hard to see and breathe. Some reports say the Air Quality Index (AQI) went above 450, which means the air was very dangerous for health, especially for children, elderly people, and those with breathing problems.
