TN Class 12th Result 2023: Girls Outshined Boys in all Streams, Highest Pass Percentage in Last 5 Years, Check Important Result Trends

TN Class 12th Result 2023: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, also known as TNDGE has announced the TN (Tamil Nadu) +2 result for the year 2023. The result has been announced on the official website of the TNDGE. The board had earlier told the date for the TN +2 Result for the year 2023. Keeping its promise, the TNDGE declared the Tamil Nadu +2 HSC Result today, 8th May 2023. The result has been declared a little late than the announced time of 9:30 am. The result was declared at around 10:15 am today. The pass percentage this year stands at 94.03%, the highest in the last five years.

Tamil Nadu’s Minister of School Education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, announced the results at the Anna Centenary Library Conference. The result for all streams (Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational) was released at once. Along with the result, various important statistics regarding the result were also released, such as overall pass percentage, boys’ pass percentage, district-wise pass percentage, best-performing district, etc. This year more schools recorded a 100% pass percentage in TN +2 results also known as TN HSE (Higher Secondary Examination) results.

TN +2 Result 2023: Exam Stats 2023

The DGE TN released the schedule for the Tamil Nadu Class 12th exams 2023 on 7th November 2022. The Tamil Nadu Class 12th exam started on 13th March 2023 with the Language Subject. The TN +2 HSC examination ended on 3rd April 2023. The examination was conducted in offline mode. The TN +2 exams were organized from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. Over 8.51 lakh students registered for the exam this year out of which 8.03 lakh candidates appeared for the TN +2 exam in 2023. The stream-wise registration is tabulated below:

TN +2 Result 2023: The Trend Continues

Continuing the trend, the girls have once again outperformed the boys in TN +2 examination in the year 2023. Girls outperformed boys in all streams and fared better than boys. The pass percentage of girls is 4.93% higher than that of boys. The pass percentage of boys is 91.45% while that of girls is 96.38%. The statistics of TN +2 results reveal several trends about the result and examination itself. The number of registered students saw a minute drop from the previous year. The overall pass percentage this year is 94.03%, which is the highest in the last five years. The number of schools recording a 100 % pass percentage improved from the last year. Science stream students performed the best among all streams. Viridhu Nagar district performed the best among all districts by obtaining pass percentage of 97.85% followed by Tirupur (97.79%), Perambur (97.59%), Ariyalur (97.59%), and Coimbatore (97.57%).
