UGC NET 2023: Registration Starts Today for June Session, Check Exam Dates, and Know How to Apply
UGC NET 2023: The June Session Registrations for UGC NET 2023 will begin as of today, May 10, 2023, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to the official statement issued by UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar on May 9, 2023, the submission of online application form will begin from 10 May 2023 on the official website. Candidates can register for UGC NET 2023 after the registration link is being active on the official website of NTA. The registration window will remain active till 31 May 2023 (up to 5 pm).
According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will organise the UGC NET June 2023 exam for “Junior Research Fellowship” and eligibility for “Assistant Professor” in 83 subjects in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The UGC NET June Exam 2023 is scheduled to take place between June 13 and June 22, 2023.
Every year, the UGC-NET is held twice (in June and December). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given the National Testing Agency (NTA) the responsibility of conducting the UGC-NET, a test which is used to determine whether Indian citizens are eligible for the positions of “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor” in Indian universities and colleges.
The candidate’s overall performance in Paper-I and Paper-II of the UGC-NET will determine whether they are awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or whether they are eligible for an assistant professorship. Candidates who only meet the requirements for an assistant professorship are not eligible to be considered for the JRF award. The rules and regulations of the concerned universities, colleges, or state governments, as the case may be, for the recruitment of Assistant Professors, apply to candidates who successfully pass the eligibility test for assistant professorship.
