UGC NET Result 2023 Announced, Check Subject-Wise Cut Off Marks and Percentile, Other Details
UGC NET Result 2023 Announced: The National Testing (NTA) has released the results of the UGC NET (University Grants Commission-National Testing Agency) December 2022 session. The NTA published the result on its official website on 13th April 2023. The NTA also released the final answer keys on its official website along with the result. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results by visiting the official website and entering their application number and date of birth. About 50,000 students passed the UGC NET December 2022 exam.
Around 8,34,537 candidates appeared for the UGC NET December 2022 session exam. Due to such a large number of candidates, the exam was conducted on several days in five phases. The exam was conducted in 32 shifts for around 16 days. The NTA conducted the UGC NET December 2022 exam for 83 subjects. The detailed exam schedule is tabulated below:

The NTA also released the cut-off marks and percentile for different subjects for various categories. The cut-off for JRF and lectureship (Assistant Professor) has been declared separately for each subject. The NTA will soon publish the E-certificates and JRF award letters to the qualified candidates. The validity of the JRF certificate will be for three years. There is no validation limit for Assistant Professor (lectureship) certificate. According to UGC rules, 6% of candidates who appear in both tests and get the minimum qualifying marks in both papers are deemed NET qualified.
As per the UGC NET criteria, Candidates from unreserved categories must score a minimum of 40% marks to pass the UGC NET exam and candidates from unreserved categories must score 35% marks. The subject-wise cut-off percentile for some subjects for the Unreserved category is listed below:
Political Science – 96.956 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.599 for JRF
Economics – 97.273 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.75 for JRF
History – 97.787 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.723 for JRF
Commerce- 97.433 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.729 for JRF
Education – 96.877 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.675 for JRF
Bengali – 98.34 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.848 for JRF
Hindi – 97.182 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.642 for JRF
English – 97.73 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.737 for JRF
Geography – 97.492 percentile for Assistant Professor and 99.671 for JRF
