The Leader of Opposition in Bhopal has raised concerns over alleged GST evasion in Madhya Pradesh. He has called on Finance Minister to look into the matter and take firm action against those involved.

Umang Singhar Urges Finance Minister to Crack Down on GST Evasion Cases Occuring in MP
Bhopal leader of the opposition (LOP) Umang Singhar on Monday sent a note to the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman alleging GST evasion is occurring in the state. In his communication, Umang Singhar called for a detailed scrutiny by the central government into the alleged tax fraud. He is also urging the finance minister to take strict action against those found responsible for the same.
Copies of the communication have also been sent to Vivek Chaturvedi, the chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC); Jagdish Dewda, the deputy chief minister in charge of finance; Pramod Kumar Mishra, the principal secretary; and the State Commercial Tax Department.
