UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: The UP NEET UG counselling rules and fee schedule for 2024 have been released by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh. Admission for 85% of the state quota available in government medical colleges and 100% of MBBS and BDS seats in private medical colleges will be based on the merit list of the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024).
The dates for the 2024 UP NEET counselling have not yet been released. However, candidates should soon be able to view the entire timetable on the official websites, upneet.gov.in and dgmeup.gov.in.
The UP NEET UG 2024 counselling process for MBBS and BDS admissions is only open to applicants who have been deemed successful in the NEET exam administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It also recommended that applicants who were interested in enrolling at the state’s private medical institutions obtain all the information possible about the school before making any decisions.
The National Informatics Center (NIC), a technological institution chosen by the Uttar Pradesh government, will work with the Director General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, to conduct online UP NEET UG counselling in 2024.

The state’s government medical and dentistry institutes require applicants to be natives of Uttar Pradesh in order to admit them. Candidates from Uttar Pradesh who have passed both their high school and intermediate exams would not require a domicile or residence certificate.
Candidates who are native to Uttar Pradesh and have passed either or both of the intermediate and high school exams outside of the state must present a domicile or residence certificate.
In the state’s private institutes, residents of other Indian states, such as Uttar Pradesh, will also be eligible for admission.
Candidates from Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) must submit their caste certificates in the required format. The caste certificate that was issued on 1st April 2024, or later, must be submitted.
In order to facilitate online certificate verification, candidates who fall under the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category are urged to obtain the reservation-related certificate from the Uttar Pradesh government in the most recent format.
The unreserved category will consider candidates from states other than Uttar Pradesh that fall under the reserved category. For such candidates, the benefit of reservation will not be applicable.
