UPSC Recruitment 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is hiring candidates for the Extension Officer, Junior Scientific Officer (Biology), Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry) and Investigator Grade-I posts. There are 15 vacancies for these posts. The age limit will be between 30 years to 38 years. The salary will be between Rs. 44900 to Rs. 177500 per month.

Extension Officer

Number of Vacancies – 01

Age Limit 

The maximum age limit will be 38 years.

Eligibility

A. Educational: Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized university or institute or Master of Business Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute or Master’s degree in Agricultural Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

B. Experience: One year experience in Agricultural Extension work in the Central or State Government or autonomous body or Public Sector Undertaking.

C. Desirable Qualification: Two years experience in the formulation and conduct of an Extension Training Programme.

Pay Scale

Level – 10 (Rs. 56100 to 177500) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100 plus DA as applicable per month approximately)

Junior Scientific Officer (Biology)

Number of Vacancies – 01

Age Limit 

The maximum age limit will be 30 years.

Eligibility

A. Educational: Masters’s degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all three years of a bachelor of Science level from a recognized University OR B.E. or B. Tech in Biotechnology from a recognised University.

B. Experience: Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of Biology in any central and state organization or recognized institute or university or forensic science laboratory under the Central Government and State Government.

C. Desirable Qualification: Experience working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.

Pay Scale

Level – 10 (Rs.  44900 to 142400) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44900 plus DA as applicable per month approximately.)

Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry)

Number of Vacancies – 01

Age Limit 

The maximum age limit will be 30 years.

Eligibility

A. Educational: Masters’s degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination* or Biochemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.

B. Experience: Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of Chemistry in any central and state organization or recognized institute or university or forensic science laboratory under the Central Government and State Government.

C. Desirable Qualification:  Experience working in a forensic science laboratory.

Pay Scale

Level – 10 (Rs. 44900 to 142400) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44900 plus DA as applicable per month approximately.)

Investigator Grade-I

Number of Vacancies – 12

Age Limit 

The maximum age limit will be 30 years.

Eligibility

Educational: Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent Or

Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce with one paper in Economics from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.

Pay Scale

Level – 10 (Rs. 44900 to 142400)

i) Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.

ii) Candidates must upload the documents/certificates in support of all the claims made by them in the application like Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in prescribed format), Desirable Qualification(s), etc. or any other information, separately against each claim in pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 1 MB for the respective aforesaid modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module and is legible when a printout is taken. For that purpose, the applicant may scan the documents/certificates in 200 dpi grey scale. Documents like Pay Slips, Resumes, Appointment Letters, Relieving Letters, Un-signed Experience Certificate etc. must not be uploaded in the Document Upload Module:-

a) Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or mark sheet of Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of claim of age. Where the date of birth is not available in certificate/mark sheets, issued by concerned Educational Boards, School leaving certificates indicate the Date of Birth (in the case of Tamil Nadu& Kerala).

b) Degree/Diploma certificate as proof of educational qualification claimed. In the absence of a Degree/Diploma certificate, a provisional certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years.
