UPSC Recruitment 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting online applications from qualified and desirous candidates for the Indian Forest Service Examination. As stated in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2025, the number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 150. The number of vacancies is liable to alteration. The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years. The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering of any of Universities.
As given in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2025, the Union Public Service Commission will hold a Screening Test for selection to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2025 through the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 which will be held on 25th May 2025. The application fee is Rs.100 for applying to UPSC Recruitment 2025. The Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are not required to pay the application fee. The application fee will be paid online mode only. The candidates can get their admit card from the official website of UPSC. The date, time and venue of the examination will be mentioned in the admit card. In accordance with the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2025, suitable and willing candidates have to complete their online application on the official website of UPSC on or before the last date. No application will be accepted after the due date.
According to the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2025, applications are invited for the Indian Forest Service Examination. Reservations will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections and Persons with Benchmark Disability Categories in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government.
As per the information received from the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, the following vacancies have been kept reserved for candidates belonging to PwBD Category. However, the vacancies indicated are liable to further alteration.
In order to be eligible for applying to UPSC Recruitment 2025, the required age limit is given below-
To apply for UPSC Recruitment 2025, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
The selection of UPSC Recruitment 2025 on the basis of an Indian Forest Service Examination. The candidates who pass in the Preliminary Examination will be called for the main examination and those who pass in the main examination will be called for the interview. The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Screening Test for selection to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2025 through the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 which will be held on 25th May, 2025.

Candidates have to pay Rs.100 as an application fee to apply for UPSC Recruitment 2025. The Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of the fee. The applicant fee will be paid in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using the net banking facility of any Bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card/UPI Payment.
As given in the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2025, qualified and desirous candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC on or before the due date. No other mode of application will be accepted.
The closing date to submit the online application is 11.02.2025 till 06:00 PM and the last date to modify the application is between 12.02.2025 to 18.02.2025.
