US Pauses Planned Strikes On Iran Amid Ongoing Diplomatic Talks
US President Donald Trump has announced a temporary pause on potential military strikes against Iran as diplomatic talks between the two sides continue.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said that discussions over the past two days have been very good and productive. He added that the talks have been detailed and constructive, raising hopes for a possible resolution to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Trump said he has instructed officials to postpone war and military strikes targeting Iran's power plants and energy infrastructure for five days. The pace noted will depend on the outcome of the ongoing meeting.
