Ather is hiring an experienced System Engineer – Powertrain at their Bangalore location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Conceptualize electronic and electro-mechanical systems for powertrain (battery/motor/motor controller).

Come up with ideas to implement delightful features. Build Proof of concept.

Translate product requirements into engineering requirements and develop initial POC.

Own and specify the interactions between subsystems through solid understanding of the entire vehicle/CI HW and SW architecture.

Trade off diverse system requirements like functional , safety, reliability, durability, and compliance.

Make significant contributions to hardware and software architecture of the systems and the underlying subsystems.

Responsible for Interaction and Impact Analysis for any specification change and engineering change.

Investigate difficult system level failures because of subsystem malfunction.

Maximize reuse of platforms and design resources to help reduce TTM, cost, and to enhance quality; implement lessons learnt into designs.

Participate in and contribute to AFMEA, DFMEA reviews; carry out RCA on field failures and implement/recommend corrective actions.

Define and solve problems from first principles.

Gather and analyze the right data to solve problems or improve revenue.

Eligibility:

True expertise in electrical circuits and physics.

Experience with embedded systems.

Experience in mathematical modeling of diverse physical phenomena.

Advanced knowledge in data analysis.

Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, AFMEA DFM.

Experience in modeling and simulations.

Exposure to PCBA interaction and packaging of the same in an enclosure considering the power dissipation, EMI/EMC requirements

Knowledge on Thermal design including interface materials and simulation will be an added advantage

Experience with working on tools line MATLAB and SPICE.

A good team player with interpersonal planning and good communication skills.

B.Tech/M.Tech with specialization in any Engineering discipline with a good mathematical background.

2+ years of experience in working with complex systems, automotive/avionics is preferred
