3i Infotech Limited is engaged in the business of providing IT Solutions, software products and Transaction Services. The company had earlier received a final order from the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax on 17th April 2025, for the assessment year 2021-22, which led to a tax refund of Rs 4.49 lakhs.
In the latest disclosure made by the company, it has shared an update regarding the mentioned tax-related issue. The company informed the stock exchanges (BSE and NSE) that the Income Tax Department has officially dismissed the appeal that was filed earlier by the company against the order and has treated it as "infructuous" under section 4 of the Direct Tax Vivad se Vishwas Scheme, 2024.
Vivad se Vishwas Scheme was introduced to settle income tax matters under appeal. The eligible taxpayers can settle their tax dispute by paying a specified portion of their tax liability.
The company has disclosed that the matter has now been closed, and the tax authorities have officially closed the appeal for statistical purposes.
