The Central Government has informed that the 48th GST Council Meeting will be held on 17th December 2022 via Video Conference.

The GST Council recently tweeted on their Official Twitter Handle regarding the upcoming GST Council Meeting.

The Council Tweeted, “The 48th Meeting of the GST Council will be held on 17th December, 2022 by Video Conference.”

The 47th GST Council meeting took place in Chandigarh on June 28 and 29. Representatives from each state and the Union Territories(UTs) serve on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council, which is presided over by the union finance minister.

The ministerial panel established under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime for casinos, racetracks, and online gambling is set to restate its prior position of a consistent 28 percent tax rate for the three categories, regardless of whether it is a game of skill or chance. The GST Council, however, will make the final decision about the valuation process because the members of the GoM disagree on whether it should be applied to the platform charge or the full amount paid by the participants.
