SBI Managing Director Shri Ashwani Bhatia appointed as Whole Time Member of SEBI

The Department of Economic Affairs has notified the Appointment of Shri Ashwani Bhatia as a Whole Time Member, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Currently, Shri Ashwani Bhatia is the Managing Director of the State Bank of India (SBI)

Text of the Notification Given Below:

S.O. 1265(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)(d) and sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), read with rule 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Ashwani Bhatia, Managing Director, State Bank of India as Whole Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, initially for a period of 03 years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
