Indian Army Recruitment 2022 for Engineering Graduate: Pay Scale up to 2.50 Lac; Check How to Apply

Indian Army Recruitment 2022: The Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Head Quarter, Ministry of Defence (MoD) has invited Online Applications from the Young Unmarried Male and Female Engineering Graduates for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

The Course is slated to commence in April 2023 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Eligible Unmarried Male and Unmarried Female Engineering Graduates as well as from the Widows of the Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in Service Harness meeting the Eligibility Criteria for Grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army may apply Online. The Last Date for Online Application Closes on 24th August 2022 (1500 Hours) and the Last Date for receipt of the Offline Documents ends on 9th September 2022.

Note: The Last Date for receipt of the Offline Applications at the Directorate General of Recruiting with duly completed Application and essential Certificates and Documents and in all respects closes on 9th September 2022. The Applications received later than 09.09.2022 shall not be entertained at all.

Tenure of Engagement: The Officers (Male and Female) shall remain Eligible for serving for Ten years. However, the Tenure may be extendable by a further period of Four years subject to the Incumbent’s opting for the same and being observed and found to be Eligible and Suitable for extension of the service according to the Terms of Engagement issued from time to time. The Officers desirous of seeking Permanent Commission (PC) may be considered for the same in the 10th year of Service according to the Eligibility and Suitability as per terms of engagement issued from time to time. Those (Male and Female) Officers aiming to seek Permanent Commission but are not granted the same, may opt for extension of their Service. The Officers found to Eligible and suitable for grant of extension of service in accordance to the Terms of Engagement issued at time, may be granted extension for a period of Four-years upon expiry of which they will be discharged from the Indian Army Services.

Age Limit:
i) For SSC(Tech)-60 Men and SSCW(Tech)-31 Women: Minimum 20 Year to Maximum 27 Years (Only Candidates born between 2nd April 1996 and 1st Apr 2003, both days inclusive).
ii) For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel Who Died in Service Harness Only. SSCW (Non-Tech) [Non-UPSC] and SSCW(Tech): Maximum 35 Years on 01 Apr 2023.

Educational Qualifications: For the Candidates’ Applying. a) The Candidates having in possession Engineering Degree Course or are pursuing their Final Year of Engineering Degree Course are eligible to apply. However such Candidates should be able to submit the Proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination together with the Marksheets of all Semesters/Years by 1st April 2023 (01.04.2023) and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 Weeks from the Date of Commencement of Training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

b) Widows of the Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Service Harness.

i) Short Service Commission for Women (SSCW) (Non-Technical) (Non-UPSC). Bachelor’s Degree or Graduation in any Discipline from the Duly Recognised University.
ii) Short Service Commission for Women (Tech) B.E./ B.Tech in any Engineering Stream from the Duly Recognized University of Institutions.

c) For Widows of Defence Personnel Only (Total 02 Vacancies)

i) For Entry: B.E./B.Tech; Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in any Technical Streams: 01 Vacancy
ii) For SSC(W)(Non-Technical)(Non-UPSC); Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream : 01 Vacancy
