BMRCL Recruitment 2022: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Bengaluru.

Post-Wise Eligibility for BMRCL Recruitment 2022

1. Senior Geologist

Age: 50 years.

Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech In Geology/ Applied Geology, (Specialization In Engineering Geology is desired)

Essential Criteria: Minimum of 10 years of experience in large infrastructure projects in the field of Geology. Candidates with geological/ geotechnical experience in metro construction for underground stations/ tunneling with TBM/ viaduct and stations will be preferred.

Job Description:  The Senior Geologist will carry out a detailed geotechnical analysis of the soil, rock, and groundwater database as well as evaluate the risk assessment of geological hazards and prepare reports for their submissions to BMRCL Chief Engineers. An outline of the job specifications (but not limited to) is given below:

1. Thorough knowledge of the site-specific geology and regional geology of Bangalore and its environs, including the regional structures, fractures, faults, lineaments, hydrogeology, and seismic studies.

2. Designing, executing and monitoring the geotechnical / soil survey investigations carried out for BMRCL. Supervise site and ground investigations, collate the field and laboratory data to generate geotechnical reports, soil profiles, cross sections, etc. for their utility in BMRCL’s tender documents;

3. They are reviewing a wide range of technical reports including factual data reports and geotechnical Interpretative reports submitted to the Planning and Design Section by the designated Contractors for the specific BMRCL projects for their approval.

4. Geotechnical knowledge about the design of slopes (specifically for the underground stations), evaluation of the ‘factor of safety, and suggestions for their relevant support measures.

5. Knowledge of geotechnical software (Roe Lab, RocScience, Ge-Slope, glNT);

6. Awareness of the standard practices in civil engineering, safety, health and environment norms, the experience of developing ground models and assessing risks and solutions.

2. Junior Geologist

Age: 35 Years

Qualification: M.sc/ M.Tech in Geology

Experience Criteria: Minimum of 05 years of experience in large infrastructure project execution. candidates with geological/ geotechnical experience in metro construction for underground stations/tunneling with TBM/viaduct and stations will be preferred.

Job Description: The Junior Geologist will carry out on-site geological studies, collect the data and report to the Senior Geologist/Site Engineers. An outline of the job specifications (but not limited to) is given below:

1. Working knowledge about the site-specific geology, regional geology of Bangalore and its environs including the knowledge about the regional structures, discontinuities in rocks and knowledge about the groundwater is required.

2. The candidate should be well versed with (i) geological mapping, preparation of long sections, cross sections etc. (ii) Standard engineering practices, techniques and procedures (iii) geophysical, GPR, DCPT and other sub-surface investigation.

3. The candidate shall be able to undertake independent geotechnical investigations including (i) logging and characterizing the engineering properties of the foundation (ii) collection of desired samples for the laboratory analysis (iii) overseeing the laboratory testing program (iv) data collection, geological characterization, analysis and reporting.

The Scale of Pay for BMRCL Recruitment 2022

1. Senior Geologist: Rs.80000

2. Junior Geologist: Rs.40000

Employees are also eligible for fixed Medical allowances, Group Medical & Personal Accident Insurance cover, contribution to the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and other applicable allowances as per the rules of the Company.
