Citi Bank Hiring Environment Service Management Engineer 

Overview:

Citi is hiring an experienced Environment Service Management Engineer at their Pune location. The position will be in North America DevOps Team under Global Consumer Technology (GCT).  We are looking for a senior environment service management engineer to support all lower environments for GCT applications and product lines for North America. This person will to provide technical guidance to the teams and  will support all lower environments to provide incident triage, incident management, change management, green zone management & defect management for NAM applications to reduce the downtime and provide high availability for application development and testing teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Primarily involved in environment service management for lower environments. Drive Incident and Change management. Provide “hands-on” technical support and analysis on as needed basis

Responsible for ensuring that North America Consumer systems and applications in lower environments maintain on-going availability and stability.

Establish and define change management, incident management, project management, and governance functions for key DevOps strategic initiatives in order to facilitate enhanced environmental stability and control incidents and to ensure on-going operational efficiency for North America Consumer systems, platforms, and applications.

Become L1 SME to triage incident and resolve incidents and problems in day to day activity to ensure the soundness of the system.

Actively develop plan and solutions for lower environment stability and support.

Follow established processes and improve process/procedures to meet environment needs – maintain standards, monitoring, patch and upgrades and automation tools.

Partner with Application Development and Testing teams for quick incident triage and environment defect management leveraging Engineering tools and technologies to automate day to day job execution process.

Identify opportunities to optimize current solutions and perform technical analysis and/or provide “hands on” technical support, on an “as needed” basis, to troubleshoot problems related to poorly performing systems in test environments.

Plan and document standard operating procedures across different environments.

Prepare weekly status reports with operation metrics, and implementing security policies.

Mentor onsite and offsite team members to support various applications.

Be detail-oriented and deliverable focused – Should be prepared to work extra hours (including weekends) on an as needed basis to meet deliverable and support DevOps issues.

Persuades and influences others through communication skills.

Eligibility:

5 years of experience with various technology platforms like Web, Tibco, Oracle, APIm, Solace, Kafka etc.

Thorough understanding of ITIL processes and implementation.

Experience with RLM, Jenkin based CI/CD automated build and deployment solutions.

Experience with monitoring tools especially Splunk and AppDynamics

Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred

Ability to lead the team of contractors to provide support for incident, change management, defect mgt, patch mgt, certificate mgt.

Ability to Present, escalate and update senior management of the issues and actions to be taken to remediate the same.

Project & Program management skills.

Excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Team player, willing to work extra hours, including weekends on an as needed basis with relatively short notice to meet deliverable.
