Indian Army Recruitment 2023: The Directorate General of Recruiting (DGR), Integrated Head Quarter (IHQ) of Ministry of Defence, Government of India has invited Online Applications from Unmarried Men, Women and also from Widows of the Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel (WIAFDP) who died in harness for Grant of 61st/32nd Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

There are overall 193 Vacancies to be filled under the 61st Short Service Commission (Technical) Men (October 2023) And 32nd Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Course (October 2023) Including Widows Of Indian Defence Personnel For Technical And Non-Technical (Non-UPSC) notified vide the Indian Army Recruitment 2023.

Among the Ambitious, Energetic and Dedicated Persons with Patriotism for the National Pride willing to be Applicants for the 61st Short Service Commission (Technical) Men (October 2023) And 32nd Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Course (October 2023) Including Widows Of Indian Defence Personnel For Technical And Non-Technical (Non-UPSC) should apply as per the Standing Instructions prescribed in the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Notification Before or On the 9th February 2023 (09.02.2023).

The Last Date for the Eligible and Willing Candidates to complete the Online Application Process is 9th February 2023 (09.02.2023).

I) 61st Batch Course Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men (Technical): 175 Vacancies

II)32nd Batch Course Short Service Commission for Women {SSCW} (Technical): 14 Vacancies

III) Widows Of Indian Defence Personnel:

i) B.Engg./B.Tech (Technical): 01 Vacancy

ii) SSCW (Non-Technical) (Non-UPSC): 01 Vacancy

iii) Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel {WIAFDP} who died in Harness Only SSCW (Non-Technical) [Non UPSC] and SSCW (Technical)

Age Limits for Indian Army Recruitment 2023:

The Candidates (As on 1st October 2023) should be Minimum 20 Years and must not exceed 27 Years [i.e., (the Candidates should have been born between 2nd October 1996 and 1st October 2003, both Days Inclusive)].

I) For Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men (Technical)

II) For Short Service Commission for Women {SSCW} (Technical)

III) For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel {WIAFDP} who died in Harness Only SSCW (Non-Technical) [Non UPSC] and SSCW (Technical) Maximum 35 Years.

Eligibility for Indian Army Recruitment 2023:

Educational Qualifications for Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness as have been prescribed in the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Notification issued by the Directorate General of Recruiting.

i) SSCW (Non-Technical) (Non-UPSC). Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation in any Discipline from any Accredited University.

ii) SSCW (Technical) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in any Engineering stream from any Accredited University/Equivalent Institute.

Selection Procedural Criteria under Indian Army Recruitment 2023:

Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Head Quarter of Ministry of Defence (Indian Army)

The Candidates shall be put through 02 Stage Selection Procedure. Those who clear Stage-1 will go to Stage-2. Those who fail in Stage-1 will be returned on the Same Day. Duration of SSB interviews is 05 (Five) Days. Note: *The Candidates may visit the Official Website to check out the Details of the same, which are available on Official Website of Directorate General of Recruiting.

Merit List Preparation Procedure: The Candidates’ Mere Qualifying in the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview does not confirm Final Selection. The Services Selection Board would prepare Merit List for Engineering Stream/Subject-wise based on the Marks obtained by the Candidate in the SSB Interview.

TIE Resolving Methodology: In case Equal Marks in the Services Selection Board are obtained by more than One Candidate, the Candidates Senior in Age will be ranked Higher in the Merit.

In case both SSB Marks and Age of more than One Candidate remain Same, the Candidate(s) with Higher Percentage of Marks in the Qualifying Examination will be placed Higher in the Merit.

Higher Educational Qualifications, Previous Performances, etc., have no role to play in determining the Merit List. Those in the Merit List and who come within the Stipulated Stream-wise Vacancies, and are Medically Fit will be issued Joining Letters for Pre-Commissioning Training in the Officers Training Academy (OTA) subject to meeting all Eligibility Criteria.
