According to the official notification of NIT recruitment 2023, applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professor under the given departments-

Age Limit for NIT recruitment 2023:

As given in the notification of NIT recruitment 2023, the upper age limit is 60 years. Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except in the case of faculty with an exceptionally brilliant research career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.

Salary for NIT recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for NIT recruitment 2023 will be given a monthly remuneration as given below-

For Assistant Professor Grade-II, (Level 10) (AGP 6000 in 6th CPC)-

Candidates will be given Rs. 70,900 along with admissible allowances.

For Asstt. Professor Grade II, (Level 11) (AGP 7000 in 6th CPC)-

Candidates will be given Rs. 73,100 along with admissible allowances.

For Assistant Professor Grade-I, (Level 12) (AGP 8000 in 6th CPC)-

Candidates will be given between Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 along with admissible allowances.

Qualification for NIT recruitment 2023:

Candidates must have the given below qualifications to apply for NIT recruitment 2023.

For the Department of Civil Engineering-

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline. B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech or equivalent in Structural Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering/ Transportation Engineering/Water Resources Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Construction Management/ GIS-RS.

For the Department of Electrical Engineering- 

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in relevant Area of Specialization (Electrical Power System, control System, Electric Machines, Power Electronics, Instrumentation, Signal Processing, Condition Monitoring, High Voltage Engineering, Embedded Systems, Power System Protection, etc.)
• Ph.D. in relevant Discipline.

For the Department of Mechanical Engineering-

• B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• M.Tech. or equivalent Specialization: M.Tech. Mechanical/M.Tech. Design/ Thermal/ Manufacturing / Industrial and Production/ Mechatronics/ Robotics/Energy/ Energy Technology.
• Ph.D. Specialization: Mechanical Engineering and relevant discipline.

For Centre of Energy studies-

• B.Tech (any branch).
• M.Tech. (Energy).
• Ph.D. (in relevant discipline of Energy).

For the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences-

• UG Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years.
• PG Degree in the relevant discipline.
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Selection Procedure for NIT Recruitment 2023:

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of eligibility and the shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a presentation/ Seminar in the respective departments, in addition to facing the Selection Committee. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the test/ interview etc.

How to Apply for NIT recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of NIT recruitment 2023 notification, eligible candidates can download the application proforma from the Institute website and send a hard copy of the duly filled application form along with the self-attested copies of the relevant testimonials, certificates, and enclosures by post to The Registrar National Institute of Technology Hamirpur Hamirpur-177 005, (H.P.) India. Candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 as an application fee. ST/SCPWD and women candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

The last date for submitting the application form is 10th March 2023. No applications will be accepted after the stipulated date.
