1. Senior Geologist: The job specification for Senior Geologist includes carrying out detailed geotechnical analysis of soil, rock, and groundwater database, evaluating risk assessment of geological hazards, and preparing reports for submission to BMRCL Chief Engineers. The Senior Geologist must have a thorough knowledge of site-specific geology and regional geology of Bangalore and its environs, design and monitor geotechnical/soil survey investigations, review technical reports, and evaluate and interpret ground investigation data. The Senior Geologist should also have knowledge of geotechnical software, standard practices in civil engineering, and national and international standards. Good writing and oral communication skills are required.
2. Geologist: The job specification for Geologist includes carrying out on-site geological studies, collecting data, and reporting to Senior Geologists/Site Engineers. The Geologist must have a working knowledge of site-specific geology and regional geology of Bangalore and its environs, geological mapping, standard engineering practices, and geophysical, GPR, DCPT, and other sub-surface investigations. The Geologist should also be able to undertake independent geotechnical investigations, conduct tunnel face mapping, and slope face mapping, and prepare structural geological drawings. Knowledge of soil classifications, rock classifications, physical properties of rocks, weathering grades of rocks, and engineering properties of rocks is required.

Salary For BMRCL Recruitment 2023:

As per BMRCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the Senior Geologist will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 80,000/- per month and the Geologist will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- per month. Both positions are eligible for fixed Medical allowances, Group Medical & Personal Accident Insurance cover, contribution to the National Pension Scheme (NPS), and other applicable allowances as per the rules of the Company.

Tenure of Engagment for BMRCL Recruitment 2023:

As per BMRCL Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the period of contract appointment for both Senior Geologist and Geologist positions is 3 years. However, the contract can be terminated by either side by giving 3 months’ notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of three months in lieu of the notice period if the circumstances require so.
