Attention SFT Filers: Important Updates Ahead
The Income Tax Department has recently tweeted on the “X” platform informing about the last date for filing SFT and the penalty if it is delayed.
Reporting Entities for filing of SFT:
The last date to file a Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT) for FY 2023-24 is May 31st, 2024.
Delay in filing SFT may entail a penalty upto Rs 1000 for each day of default. Non-filing or filing inaccurate statements may also lead to levy of penalty.
And IT Department said “Please file your SFT within the due date” to avoid your penalty.
