Wait for CUET-UG Results Continues: May Impact DU’s Academic Calendar, Said Officials

CUET-UG Results 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has delayed the CUET-UG Results 2024 declaration. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is the entrance examination conducted for admission into undergraduate courses at central universities across India. The Delhi University has said that it may impact its academic calendar.

As per the media reports, due to the controversies arising this year on paper leak allegations involving NEET-UG and UGC-NET, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has delayed the CUET-UG Results 2024 declaration. As per the NTA’s information bulletin, the CUET-UG Results 2024 was set to be declared on June 30, 2024, , earlier but the date is out and still, results are not been released. The NTA officials have said that the CUET provisional answer key 2024 is anticipated to be declared in the next week of July 2024. After the release of the CUET provisional answer key 2024, officials will take a time period of “a week to 10 days” to declare the final results.

One of the officials of NTA, Gandhi stated, “The answer key for CUET-UG has not been released yet, which is leading to a delay in the admission process. As DU has no other system but to rely upon the NTA to release the results for CUET, we will not be able to proceed until they announce it.” The Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) results are necessary to be cleared to get admission into undergraduate programmes at Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), at 46 Central universities. This year, 2024 the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) was organised in both online (Computer Based Mode) and offline (Pen and Paper) mode and from May 15 to May 31, 2024.

Delhi University has a total of 71,000 seats opened to admit students based on the CUET-UG Results 2024. As per the reports delay in the result declaration will affect the admission calendars of all the participating universities, also including Delhi University. The DU this year has planned to conduct admissions twice a year by July 2, 2024.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is a university other than DU that uses CUET-UG Results 2024 scores for admissions into its certain language programmes and its BSc-MSc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology. An official of JNU said, “If there is a delay in the CUET result announcement, there will be repercussions on the admissions cycle of the entire country and not just JNU.”
