According to the official notification of CMRL Recruitment 2025, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is seeking applications from desired and eligible candidates for the positions of Chief General Manager (Signal &Telecom)/ General Manager (Signal &Telecom) and General Manager (Operations & Maintenance). There are a total of two vacancies available for the opportunity.

Age Limit for CMRL Recruitment 2025:

Candidates applying for CMRL Recruitment 2025 should possess a maximum age limit of 55 years.

Qualifications and Experience for CMRL Recruitment 2025:

Educational qualifications and experience mentioned below are needed for the CMRL Recruitment 2025:

a) Chief General Manager / General Manager (Signal & Telecom) – 1 Post (Post Code 01)

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a B.E. / B.Tech degree from a government-recognised institute/university, approved by AICTE or UGC.

For Chief General Manager (Signal & Telecom):

• Candidates must be a Group A IRSSE officer from Indian Railways or hold an equivalent position in a Metro organization.
• Candidates should have at least 25 years of work experience after qualification in Signal & Telecom systems in Railways/Metro.
  Out of this, at least 5 years must be in Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) or a similar level.

For General Manager (Signal & Telecom):

• Candidates must be a Group A IRSSE officer in Indian Railways or equivalent in Metro.
• Should be in SAG or Non-Functional SAG level.
• Candidates must have at least 20 years of experience after qualification in Signal & Telecom systems in Railways/Metro.

b) General Manager (Operations & Maintenance) – 1 Post (Post Code 01)

Educational Qualification:

• Must have a B.E. / B.Tech degree or any graduate degree from a government-recognised institute/university, approved by AICTE or UGC.

Experience:

• Candidates should be a Group A Technical Services officer (such as IRTS) from Indian Railways or an equivalent role in a Metro organisation.
• Candidates should be in SAG or Non-Functional SAG grade or equivalent.
• Candidates must have at least 20 years of post-qualification experience in Operations & Maintenance in Railways/Metro or a related field.

Monthly Remuneration for CMRL Recruitment 2025:

Selected candidates in CMRL Recruitment 2025 will be paid monthly remuneration upto Rs. 2,70,000,

• Continue getting their current salary from their parent organisation, along with a deputation allowance and a project allowance, both equal to 10% of their basic pay.

OR

• Get the salary as per the CMRL pay scale for the same rank, along with IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and a Cafeteria Allowance of 20% of basic pay.

Tenure for CMRL Recruitment 2025:

Chosen applicants in CMRL Recruitment 2025 will be engaged at the assigned position for a tenure period of 3 years, which shall be extendable up to 5 years.
