Key Income Tax Deadlines to Remember in June 2025
As the June 2025 begins, it comes with many important income tax deadlines which every taxpayers, businesses and government offices must know. These dates includes due dates for deposition of TDS/TCS, issue of TDS certificates, filing various forms and statements making the first installment of advance tax. Here in this article, a complete list of the important tax dates for the month is provided.

7 June 2025

  • It is the last date for the deposition of tax deducted or collected for May 2025. However, the payment must be made on the same day it the deduction or collection is done by a government office, and the tax is paid without an income tax challan.
  • Forms 27C collected from buyers in May 2025 should be uploaded by this date.

14 June 2025

TDS certificates for tax deducted in April 2025 must be given by 14 June 2025.
This includes:

  • Sections 194A-IA: Tax on sale of immovable property.
  • Section 194B-IB: Tax on rent paid by individuals or HUFs not covered under tax audit.
  • Section 194M: Tax on payments to contractor and professionals by individuals/HUFs not requiring tax audit.
  • Section 194S: Tax on the transfer of virtual digital assets by specified persons.

15 June 2025

  • Submission of Form 24G by government offices for TDS/TCS paid in May without a challan.
  • Submission of TDS certificates other than salary for the January to March 2025 quarter.
  • Employees should get their Form-16 for salary and tax deducted for the year 2024-2025.
  • If any changes made to client code in May 2025 by stock exchanges or any recognized associations then they need to submit Form 3BB.
  • Investment funds should submit Form 64D to show the income given to unit holders in Fay 2024-25.
  • Form 64E must be submitted by the securitization trusts to report income shared with investors during the year.
  • The first instalment of advance tax for Assessment Year 2026–27 is also due.

29 June 2025

  • Eligible investment fund should e-file Form 3CEK
    under section 9A for their activities in FY 2024-25.
  • Information regarding the transfer of shares or interests in a foreign company or entity (as explained under section 9(1)(i)) that occurred during FY 2024–25 must also be submitted electronically.

30 June 2025

Submit challan-cum-statement for tax deducted in May 2025 under:

  • Section 194-IA (Property purchase)
  • Section 194-IB (Rent by individual/HUF)
  • Section 194M (Payment to contractor/professional by individual/HUF)
  • Section 194S (Crypto/VDAs by specified persons)
  • File the Securities Transaction Tax Return for the year 2024-25.
  • Submission of quarterly return for non-deduction of TDS on bank fixed deposit interest, for quarter ending 31 March 2025.
  • Form 64C must be provided by AIFs to unit holders for income shared in FY 2024-25.
  • Form 64B should be given by business trusts to unit holders for income distributed in FY 2024-25
  • File the Equalization Levy statement for FY 2024-25.
  • Submit the annual income distribution statement by
    securitization trusts for FY 2024-25.
  • Submit the details of expenses under Sec 35D(2) (a) if return is due by July 31, 2025.
