Enviro Infra Engineers Limited issued an official disclosure dated June 18, 2025, informing the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) that it had received an order from the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Authorities regarding penalty and interest imposed on it under Section 73(5) of the CGST Act. The disclosure was issued under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“SEBI Listing Regulations”).

The notice was issued to Enviro Infra Engineers Limited by the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax (GST department) regarding alleged issues in their GST filings for the financial year 2021-2022. In accordance with the notice, the GST department found discrepancies after checking the company’s GST returns, including GSTR-3B, GSTR-1, GSTR-9, GSTR-2A, and data from the E-Way Bill system. The department claims there was a shortfall in tax payments, and excess Input Tax Credit (ITC) was claimed or used. However, the department clarified that the issues did not involve fraud, misstatements, or suppression of facts.

The order includes a demand for payment of Rs. 84,24,954 in total, broken down as follows:

  • SGST (State GST): Rs. 12,38,002
  • CGST (Central GST): Rs. 12,38,002
  • IGST (Integrated GST): Rs. 59,48,950

This amount (Rs. 84,24,954) consists of imposed tax differences, penalties, and interest. The company has assured that the action will not have any material impact on its financial operations or other activities. EIEL also mentioned they are planning to respond to this order within the allowed time.

In the end, the company said the order was received by one of their officers on June 11, 2025, but was only shared with the authorised company officers on June 18, 2025. As soon as the authorised officers received it, the company promptly informed the exchanges as per the applicable SEBI regulations.
