  • TCS return is 15th July 2025
  • TDS return is 31st July 2025

Latest RPU and FVU Utility Versions for Q1 Filing

The latest tool released by Protean (NSDL) must be used to file the returns properly. These are needed for the preparation and validation of TDS and TCS returns for the first quarter of FY 2025–26.

  • Return Preparation Utility (RPU): Version 5.7
  • File Validation Utility (FVU): Version 9.2

These versions reduces the errors and are mandatory for filing

Extended ITR Filing Due Date for AY 2025-26 (FY 2024-25)

There is a good news for individual taxpayers and also for those who have not covered under tax audits. The Income Tax Department has extended the due date to file Income Tax Returns for the assessment year 2025–26.

  • New ITR due date: 15th September 2025 (This was earlier 31st July 2025).
  • This extended date helps salaried individuals, pensioners and small businesses or professionals who don’t need an audit.
