AAI Recruitment 2023: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is a statutory body working under the Ministry of Civil Aviation that manages and operates airports across the country. The Regional Headquarters- Northern Region, located at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi, has issued an advertisement for the engagement of retired ATCOs (Air Traffic Control Officers) from AAI as Consultants in the Air Traffic Management (ATM) discipline on a contract basis. There is a total of 3 vacancies available in the recruitment drive. As per AAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, The engagement period will be for one year at the specified airports and stations in the Northern Region, with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000.

As per AAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility and qualification criteria for engaging retired Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs) from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) as Consultants include several requirements. Firstly, the retired ATCOs should have held the position of Joint General Manager or Deputy General Manager at the E7 or E6 level.
Additionally, the eligible candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant field. Secondly, the maximum age of retired officials should not exceed 70 years, and they must be medically fit to serve as Consultants until they reach the age of 70.
Thirdly, candidates must have a clean record with no pending vigilance/disciplinary cases against them, which requires supporting documentation. Fourthly, the candidates must not have any criminal cases pending against them, which will be self-certified by the respective candidate. Fifthly, candidates who have completed a cumulative period of 5 years as a Consultant in AAI will not be considered for re-engagement. Finally, candidates must be willing to join immediately or at short notice.
As per AAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the job responsibilities for the Consultant will be to assist in various works related to ATC Units, WSO, Offices, Leave Records, Tape Transcript, Incident/Accident Investigation, Rescue and Coordination Centers, RNFC Billings, Checking of Data for ATCO Licensing, ALB Checking, Preparation of Statistics, Content Preparation for various displays, Preparation of Rosters, Verification of Training Data, etc. In addition to these tasks, any other job assigned by the ATS-in-Charge will also be included in the Consultant’s job responsibilities.
The period of engagement for the Consultant will be for one year, and the appointment will be on a full-time basis. During the consultancy period, the Consultant will not be allowed to take up any other assignments. This will ensure that the Consultant can focus solely on the tasks assigned to them and complete them efficiently.
As per AAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the monthly remuneration for the Consultant position is Rs. 75,000/-, which is all-inclusive. This means that the amount mentioned includes all allowances and benefits that the Consultant is entitled to receive.
